Stuart O’Connell appears before all levels of court in Ontario. He is a skilled trial lawyer with an extensive knowledge of the law. Stuart has peer-reviewed articles for a number of Canadian law journals. His own written legal arguments have been presented to and adopted by the Supreme Court of Canada. Prior to his work as a trial litigator, Mr. O’Connell was a law school professor. He has taught more than a dozen different law courses at the college and university level.
Stuart received his law degree in 2006 from the University of British Columbia, and articled for Alan D. Gold, widely regarded as one of Canada’s top defence lawyers. Stuart attended the Graduate Program in Law at Osgoode Hall Law School. His thesis was supervised by the Honourable Justice James Stribopoulos of the Ontario Court of Justice.
He writes a popular law blog on Canadian criminal law www.stuartoconnell.blogspot.ca and is currently writing a book on victim rights scheduled to be published by LexisNexis in 2018.
